Poortikeshwar Mahadev Mandir & Upasana Ashram
This sacred teerth of Poortikeshwar Mahadev is in existence since the Treta Yuga. As per accounts, the Mahadev Lingam sthapana was done by Jambuvant, the devotee of Bhagwan Shri Ram. During the 1970s this place was largely neglected and not in worship. In 1978, Manu Maharaj came here to do Sadhana and since then has been staying here. In 1985, Manu Maharaj built the Upasana Ashram to facilitate sadhaks who wish to do their sadhana. Parikramvasis can also stay here and are given food and shelter. Over the years, the Ashram has gradually expanded. The hall can now accomodate about 100-150 people.
